Hello, wello, jello...

Ok, sorry. The last couple of days, my mood has been alternating between horribly happy and depressingly sad, so its been a bit difficult to update. :(

I'm quite happy with my results actually, and combined with my CAs they've exceeded my expectations. I won't put them up here because I can envision Salad laughing disdainfully and screeching "You think that's good?? HA!" then pulling out her own report card and kissing her 1293887319288723209 A1s.

Salad, that was just to piss you off. She's not like that people!

Amrit is.
I'm going to get a call from an angry Amrit soon.

Contrary to what's going on in your head right now, the title of today's post is not 'Woohoo! Let's see how many people Rivali can piss off in one post!' but something like that would be quite fun if I'm bored. I'm not bored now, but I am rambling so lets change the topic.

Today, we got our report books back. I think its really funny (NOT) that I got all As for languages, math and science, then got a B for combined humans. and a C for lit. My humantities SUCK, but Lit's my favourite subject (with A Math and Chem) so I shall work hard! I shall strive! I shall persevere!

Oh, another thing, my SA2 marks were mostly ones where I had just scraped a certain grade, or just missed a certain grade. And I'm not a particularly religious person, but I do pray, and for the past few days, I'd been really praying to God (my God, your God, anything)that my borderlines would either be pulled up to, or remain at an A1. And amazingly, every SINGLE thing I'd prayed for came true. I didn't even realize it when I first saw my report book, then later on I was drawing when suddenly, I was like "eh?" and just stared at my report book in disbelief.

But getting back report books always leads to the seemingly innocent question posed by my parents- "So... what do you want to do when you grow up?" a.k.a, "Become a doctor or die."
Yuck, NEVER!!
I know exactly what the two things that I want to do when I grow up are, and its not disreputable, its not dishonest, just because they're related to two subjects which are apparently useless in my parents' (and annoyingly nosy relatives') eyes, doesn't mean I can't do them. Both my parents went against their families' wishes when it came to their jobs, and they're perfectly fine now, they can't exactly expect me to listen to them when thats exactly what THEY didnt do.
Anyway, my friends are supportive enough, especially Amrit( thanks for the loooong talk ytd) and Su-lyn!

One last bit of report book-ness, my conduct has improved! In Sec 1 it was "Good," then in Sec 2, it became "very good" and I have maintained that in Sec 3!

Sec1
Me: I shall be responsible! I shall discard my heck-care attitude forevermore and-
Amrit: F*ck responsibility...
Me: ... okay!

Sec2
Me: Today is the day. I shall no longer use my math worksheets as ammunition to throw at Huiling. I shall complete them, and pass them up and-
Amrit: Oh no, not again... Do you really think you'll succeed?
Me: Yes, I will! I WILL okay! Oh look, there's Zhang Hui- lets set her hair on fire!! (runs towards Zhang)
Amrit: (pulls me back, and gives me The Look)
Me: Oh dear...
Amrit: Exactly.
Me: Well, I- I tried..
Amrit: Yes, you did! Great! Now where's the kerosene?

Sec 3's much better though.

I HAVEN'T GONE FOR DETENTION THIS YEAR!!!!

Congratulate me, people! :D

In other News, I think all of you will probably now by now that JK Rowling has announced that DUMBLEDORE IS GAY.
While I know that most members of the gay community have already blogged about this veryyyyyyy happily, I'd like to stress that I'm straight, yet am pleasantly surprised that such a controversial topic (in S'pore at least) has been incorporated into Harry Potter, of all things. But I also have to say,

I TOLD YOU SO!

For a long time, I'd always maintained my stance that Dumbledore and Voldemort were in a gay relationship. When Book 7 came along, I changed my opinion, and told a countless number of people that Grindlewald and Dumbledore must have been lovers.
Everyone thought I was talking rubbish, but well, it JUST GOES TO SHOW, RIGHT?
And who knows? Maybe Rowling will later announce that Voldemort hated Dumbledore so much because Dumby spurned his advances, and dumped him for Grindlewald. And maybe Ms.Lau really is a robot cyborg from Xena1102...

Anyway, droppping a bombshell like this is a great (and maybe rather desperate?) way to ensure people don't forget Harry Potter. Its also came at the a rather interesting time, don't you think? Just when all this 377A controversy about legalising gay sex is going on in S'pore. Maybe JK Rowling secretly supports legalising the whole thing. ________ said that the next thing you know, Harry Potter will be banned here!

People have come up with rather interesting ways to cope with/express their feelings on the whole thing...

Damn funny!

Hahah!

No.

More.

Days.

HAHAHA. Sorry, I just went to Sarah's blog and saw her write "One. More. Day" but since I don't take mother tongue in school, I HAVE NO MORE EXAMS.

Just to illustrate my point further:

I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE FREAKING EXAMS, UNLIKE YOU, UNLESS YOU'RE NAOMI OR YANKA!

Woohoo! Kiss ass, bitches. HAHA. Yes, I haven't got out of that phase yet. Blame Yanka.

So, I refuse to be unproductive, anyhow. Today, I helped mark Rohit's (my p5 brother) English testpaper, and wrote an essay on Themes in 'The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds" for Aditi's (my sister) lit exam tomorrow. Then i painted. Because all the sketches I've been doing have totally built up, cuz I never had time to sit down and paint them because of the exams. But now I can (DUH). :D

Sigh... *floats off dreamily*

Oh, I'm thinking of starting a new blog (I'm not abandoning this one though) and Sam told me to use wordpress because its more flexible. What is it exactly? (sheepish grin) Tell me if you know. :D

Oh, and today was AMath and physics. AMath was quite okay, but Physics sucked. I mean, I had left 5 chapters for the eve of the exam, so go figure. But I still can't believe that I found BIO better than PHYSICS. AAAHHH.

So, its in the middle of the exam, and I'm like "Rivali, why are you falling asleep in the middle of PHYSICS??" And thats when I realised that I wasn't falling asleep. I was just so... drained. I could literally feel my entire body drooping forwards and that when I was like "You know what? Screw this," and I realised that I couldn't really be bothered anymore. Then, I was of course, castigating myself for not caring.

My train of thought (I was attempting the various questions simulataneously): How can you not care... HOW CAN YOU NOT CARE?? Physics is an important subject you know and- is it really? I mean, you never wanted to take it in the first place, you wanted to take art. And what does physics make you into? [winces as Ms. _____'s hongky accent comes screeching over the mike, giving instructions] That? Or-wait!- Ms Cheong?? Yeah, you SO wanna be like her. Overly-meticulous, bitter, pessimistic, destructive.... woohoo. Okay, two minutes left for the exam.. TRY to finish the paper at least..... There.. DONE! Woohoo! Now screw eveyrone, I'm goin home.

I mean,
I studied.

That's one difference for this exam, as compared to other years. I began revision in August, and I know if I do badly, I won't have many regrets, becaus for the first time in 3 years, I walked in for 90% of my papers prepared. I won't think "if only you had not played so much computer" or "if only you had not tried to pelt your neighbour with garbage on the eve of the exam," etc, because I -well, didn't. So apart from Physics and to a small extent Bio, I have no regrets.
-End of long rant.-

HOOOOOkay.

Oh yeah, before I go-

Huiling: [walks by my class]
Me: (loudly) There it walks, thinking it's human. Does it think it deserves to be here? Does it think that for once, I'm even convinced that it is capable of human emotion? It-
Huiling: [walks up to me, and says in a bored voice, full of conviction] You shut up, ah. You full of crap. You rubbish. [walks away]
Dear, dear munmoo...

Oh, and salad booked me for wearing a blue bra yesterday... It was not blue!! Okay, it was. But seriously (those of you who know me will probably know what I'm about to say-) how will it affect me later in life? It won't. Look in my blog history and you'll find a couple of long speeches about the pointlessness of the prefect system, yadayadayada. I'm too lazy to get all worked up now. I don't think I'm going DC this year anyway, but I shall wait and see before properly celebrating.

For Salad:

Bye, y'all! (LOL)
