So, after a month-long hiatus, being pestered by Deanna 'blog-police-woman' Heng, and everything, I'm back :D (looks around in confusion as people start running for cover)
Anyway.
4 points. 6a1s.
I'm content. A1 for Lit! Screw everything else.
Surprisingly, I got A2s for Bio and Chem which I thought were my good subjects.
Surprisingly (this time its sarcastic) I got a B3 for Bengali. Boohoo. I thought it was rather amusing but my Bengali teacher didn't. Between jumping into a pit full of poisonous vipers and having to face her again ("You got 8 A's but a BEEEEEE for BEEENGALI??") I'd choose the vipers. Actually, I didn't understand what she was saying (which is the norm) at first because she was using really really big words,but my mum was on hand to write down the translation to English for me. Thank goodness my mum is supportive tolerant of my extreme love for Bengali.
Anyway.
I was really scared as I saw people getting their results (my index number is towards the back) and some were crying or laughing or screaming or immediately going home. When I sat down in front of Mrs. Tee and laoshi, I was trembling. Like, in a moment, my whole life could change and all, right? Then laoshi said something in Chinese, so I thought that she was saying 'gone' or 'poor thing' so I started trembling even more. Then Mrs. Tee was like 'Rivaleeee....' and moved her pen down the page with excruciating slowness. My mind was totally blank. Then she looked up and smiled. And told me my points. After that, I was kind of in a daze.
Anyway.
Went for the ACJC open house yesterday. It seemed fun, saw a lot of our seniors and batchmates. The Lit syllabus looks so interesting! And the people there were really friendly too.
Went to the RJC open house today. The facilities were fantastic. The Lit syllabus was pretty similar to ACJC's. I went with my mum, who kept trying to get me away from the Lit and Art section, and take me to the Chem, Math and Physics areas.
Me: Ooh look, whats that poster about costume design there? Mum: [keeps walking determinedly past the poster] Me: It says...(reading the poster) ok.. hey, mum? Come here! Mum: [breaks into a run]
Speaking of parents, my father's like really really angry that I'm even considering RJ. He keeps glaring at me. My mum's not so pleased either. I don't think I'll get in anyway.
I was most impressed by ACS though. I always have been. And since I've been aiming to go there since sec 2, well...
Anyway (for the fourth time). Lets see what I choose. And where I get into. I just hope I'll be happy, wherever I go.
YShe laughed. And laughed. And laughed yet again.;;
