Ho ho ho.
I don't like this holiday, it confuses me. On one hand I can't stand the 10-day wait to get back our prelim papers, to see whether the months of hard work have come to fruition (SSGeog and Bengali excluded). On the other hand, I don't want to get my Lit papers back, don't want to be crushed to the ground and have the last remnants of hope in my heart cast away as I see the horrible marks scribbled on a corner of the exam paper.
I tend to become melodramatic when I'm bored. Have you noticed?
Anyway, I created the 4E Facebook account, and added all the girls in 4E. But who added the teachers?? Not that there's any problem with that, but Mr. Ong sent the account a message saying that creating accounts as a group were not allowed... Teachers... sigh...
"ehhhh facebook term of service says cannot create group user accounts, but must use groups instead..."
I won't be arrested.... right? Right. *looks uncertain*
Anyway, lets blog about Mutants' Teachers' Day 2008!
It was better than last year, simply because we were sitting in an air-conned hall rather than in the sweltering heat wearing lab coats. Oh, and those annoying primary schoolers (excluding Arya and Su Wen ofcourse) were not there. If I ever have kids, I'm taping their mouths shut from the age of 4 to 8. Ha. (The 'ideal mother,' DEANNA HENG, gulps and shakes her head while reading this. Amanda Soo laughs evilly and agrees with me ofcourse. )
So anyway, back to Teachers' Day. The Sec One skits were... alright I guess. But I think we all would have preferred it if they tried to be less meaningful and just went around imitating the teachers. Ditto for the videos, tho the one about potatoes was hilarious.
Speaking of videos, this year's one were NOTHING compared to the one 2E06 made, eh?
Brace yourselves...
"Jemaih-Riv"... Those were the good 'ol days...
I remember Salad, Me and Jer working over this so diligently... and we actually thought Ms. Ho would approve of it and show it in front of the whole school... Oh well...
I thought Xing Yi's opinion about the awards being the most meaningful part, was the truth. We all stood up and cheered for Mrs. Tee when she won 'Most on-task.' But like 129833873475603 teachers won that same award. Mrs. Tee should have won 'Most Sarcastic' or 'Most Caring' or 'Most Motherly.' They should have been given individual awards!
Something happened during the 'Best Dressed Award.' It was the first award, and I guess everyone thought that there would only be one recipient for each award? So the first winner was Mrs. Thomsett, obviously. So we all looked over to the teachers' section, and I saw everyone clapping... except Mrs. Ng Mui Eng.
Hmmm... At first I thought I was seeing things, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't. Pretty interesting given the rumours that have been swirling around for years about the two of them hating each other eh? Ironically, Mrs. Ng was one of the the winners of 'Best Dressed' too. I couldn't see whether Thomsett clapped for Mrs. Ng or not (though she prolly did), but they both deserved the win.
Pretending to get along, probably trying to kick each other off the stage.
Anyway, other pics..
I was sandwiched between Amanda Soo (aka The Tall One) and Krithika (aka Flagpole). One decided to use me as a pillow, and the other, an armrest. I love my friends fiends.
Hilary, Queen of Camwhoring. Krithika, unwilling accomplice.
SOMEBODY STOP HILARY!!! Haha, there were tons of other pics of her and Kri, but I'm not posting them up, cuz they're ALL basically the same.
Amanda Soo feels sleepy and emo, decides my shoulder is the perfect height for a headrest. (Note my bitter tone)
So, I was in 4M taking random shots of the Princess.. Then Me and Becky realised that -hey!- the pictures tell a story!..
I gave her fangs and red eyes on photoshop but I don't think they're very obvious...
ps: You DO know Meera would never say that.
p/ps: Meera, I know you wouldn't have wanted the guys name to come out in public, so don't worry, I censored it (as seen above) so no one will guess who the person in question is...
Celery,
Rivali.
