Hi! I've decided that, instead of posting one superr long post every two weeks, I shall make my posts shorter, but blog more frequently.
So, the new school year has started, though I can't say I got to see much of school. On thursday, I started getting a really runny nose, and by the time I got home, it had progressed to a full-blown cold with a bitch of a headache. And sinus. I hate sinus. I shall call my new physics teacher sinus. Anyway, I couldn't go to school yesterday. Not that I really mind. I remember in lower sec, it was like "Oh no, I'll miss out on all the crazyness in 1D/2E!" But in upper sec its like, blahh, whatever, lets die so we won't have to take O-levels..
Speaking of new teachers...
For English, we have Ms. Chuah! Yippee! More time to sleep/ draw/ throw stapler bullets at random people in class. I mean, English is more of practice, and listening to teachers lecture us on adverbs isnt exactly helpful, so I think that the best kind of English teacher to have is one you can really have fun with (ahh, fond memories of 2e surface- throwing fake cockroaches at Mr. Low and forcing Mr. Seow to answer weird questions... ), or a teacher that doesn't notice even when people are taking gulps of whiskey in her class (coughYankacough). Fortunately for 4e, we've been blessed with the latter, so here's to more drunk people in our class!
For E Math and A Math, we still have Mrs. Tee. She's quite nice, though Emaths can be a bit TEE-dious. Okay, lame joke. I love A Math though I don't see the point in it. Actually, I don't see the point in any of the subjects we're taking, but Cassandra would beg to differ, right? HAHA.
For Bio, we still have Ms. Lau. Poor thing, when she first walked into class, everyone noticed that she had done something to her hair, so we were all like "Oh, so she's not wearing a wig!" Her hair actually moved with her during that lesson, so the wig theory is out. Unfortch, me, Hilary, and a couple of other people kept on giggling for no reason, and I think she thought the class was a bit weird (or drunk, when it comes to- oh, nevermind). And she told us "4e, you know, last year you all were a very playful class- not that there's anything wrong with that- but please, I hope you've realized that its your O-levels this year." Don't worry, Ms. Lau, I'm sure there are people in 4e who'll pass the Bio O-levels. Like Lydia.. and Cassandra.. .and..er.... urm...er...
For Chem, its Limmy! She looked as tortured as ever when trying to explain redox reactions to us. Poor Limmy. I think she'd love to throw some of us straight outta that window. But I like Chem, so I pay attention in class generally. Though Amanda Soo would probably have some sarcastic retort to that...
For Physics we have.... SINUS. Didn't I say I'd call her that? Guess who she is.. a) She taught me in Sec 1. b) She'd confiscate books I was reading under the table almost every lesson and give them back after she'd made sure I had to pay like a gazillion dollars worth of library fines. c) Su-lyn despises _______ (refer to a certain story a few posts ago) d) She wears sneakers and blue socks with white clouds on them. Paired with an A-line, knee length skirt. Pfffft. After all of this, I can't exactly name her, because I'd get murdered by Salad, so you can ask me if you're interested.
Me: (sadly) Amrit, guess who my physics teacher is. Amrit: Ms.... Bong? Me: No! Ms. Bong teaches lit! Amrit: Then who the hell is it? That old teacher you hated? Me: No.. Its Ms. ___. Amrit: WHAT? She taught us in Sec 1 right? GAWD HELP YOU! I'm sorry uh, Rivali, but I have to tell you -really sorry about it- but you're going to uh fail your physics O-levels and uh (blah blah)... Me: (gritting my teeth) Thanks. Amrit. Kaur.
For Lit, we have Mrs. Thomsett! I think the majority of us are really happy about this. And I'm thinking back to sec 1, and I realised that I seriously had no reason to dislike Mrs. Thomsett then. Oh well. At lest I've realised that. :S We had our first lit lesson on thursday and though we didn't get started on the play, it was really interesting. Like there are groups and points and competitions. Last year, there was one session in January where the students became the teachers or something, and for the rest of the year, we just had to listen and take notes which is really really boring. Think: Edna mode, but there's no guarantee you'll even pass the subject, which many didn't, and by the way, I did by less than one percent. So, anyway, lit looks quite promising.
For Geog, its a new teacher called Mrs. Chan. She looks strict, but she has a lot of experience. Poor Tham Tham, I thinks she's celebrating the fact that she's not teaching us anymore.
For Social Studies, its Mrs. Chen. The class is TERRIFIED of her, though she seems quite nice. Like, on thursday, someone yelled "Mrs. Chen is coming!" and everyone rushed to their desks and sat down, with their social studies books on their desks. There was pin drop silence when she entered the class. Its a huge contrast to last years social studies, which was more fun though. But I really can't judge from the first lesson.
Oh, speaking of SS, MEERA "FO'SHIZZLE" RAJAH has managed to extract, from her new social studies teacher, on the very first lesson, the answer to a question she has been dying to know for months- "When is Mr. Seow coming back?" Yep, the answer is February, apparently, and Meera has been dancing around yelling the news to everybody. "Naw," she insisted, "I SO am not looking forward to it." But the light shining in her eyes, and the drool trailing from from her mouth to the floor tells a different story, y'all.
