Yesterday, I went to Su-lyn's house. Played tennis there with Su-lyn and Ms.Cheah.
Su-lyn has a reddish-black tennis racket. It looks quite evil, especially when combined with her look of immense concentration while playing tennis, as she narrows her eyes, and hits the ball. So, she painted her nails black, and it really matched her racket.
Su-lyn: Like ma' nailss? Like ma' nailsss?? Rivali: Hey cool! They match your racket!
2 mins later: Su-lyn: Like ma' nailss? Like ma' nailsss? Rivali: Yeah, but we're in the middle of tennis... Su-lyn: Like ma' nailss? Like ma' nailsss?? Rivali:[calmly] If you don't shut up, I shall bash your head with my tennis racket.
For most of it, Su-lyn and I paired up against Ms. Cheah. Su-lyn was trying to hook Ms. Cheah up with her tennis coach who was playing in the court next to us. Sadly, we didn't succeed,as Ms. Cheah is still seeing Mr. Ong.
Ms. Cheah: (holding my racket) Hey, is your racket new? Rivali: Er...no. Its two months old. Su-lyn: Thats considered new. Rivali: -___-
Ms. Cheah: Su-lyn, your racket's so light! What is it made of? Su-lyn: Er.... Ms. Cheah: Graphite? Rivali: Aluminium. Ms. Cheah: (holds the racket close to her face to see it better) Rivali: (reaches up to smash the racket into her face) Ms. Cheah: (jumps back and tries to hit me with the racket.)
Su-lyn: Have you had enough of tennis? Ms. Cheah: Yeah. Su-lyn: Have you had enough of tennis? Ms. Cheah: Yeah. Su-lyn: Have you had enough of tennis? Ms. Cheah: Yeah. Rivali: Have you had enough of Mr. Ong? Ms. Cheah: No.. yes.. I mean.. OI!!!
We played tennis until 8 o' clock, then went to Su-lyn's house for dinner. Su-lyn's mom joined us for dinner, and she was telling us about how Su-lyn wasn't allowed to start doing Higher Chinese in Sec 3 because her average for Chinese in 2006 was 68 or something. The cut-off point was 70. What the hell?? Its TWO freakin' marks. And in her final exam, she got like 74 or 745.
And I heard someone say that in the whole level, only 7 people got above 70% for EOYS. So what, only those 7 girls continue doing higher chinese ah? No right? I'm sure there was a leeway, why shouldn't it extend to someone who's really interested in the subject. And its not like Su-lyn's african or hawaiian, she's Chinese, let her do Chinese lah.
Sighh.. And, on a totally different note,
HELP ME!!
My mom said she was going to get me a present.
She asked me to choose between -
a) A new phone -You see, my old phone just got spoilt. -____- I don't even know what happened to it. The old phone didn't have a camera or anything, but my mum says that the new phone shall have a camera, a video and voice recorder, maybe mp3, etc,etc..
b) A new phone and a guitar. I'm sure you know what a guitar is. But if I opt for this choice, the phone I'll get won't have any camera option or anything that I mentioned above.
VOTE IN THE POLL TO HELP ME DECIDE!!!
PLEASE.
